Awards

The APGS Awards are established to confer on outstanding glaucoma subspecialists for their contributions to the development of glaucoma care and services in and beyond the Asia-Pacific region. The Awards will be presented at the Asia-Pacific Glaucoma Congress 2018 (APGC).

APGS ASIA-PACIFIC AWARD

This prestigious APGS Award recognises distinguished glaucoma sub-specialists from the Asia-Pacific region who have made significant lifetime contributions to the development of glaucoma care and services in the Asia-Pacific region.

APGS INTERNATIONAL AWARD

This prestigious APGS Award recognises distinguished glaucoma subspecialists from outside the Asia-Pacific region who have made significant lifetime contributions to the development of glaucoma care and services in the Asia-Pacific region. Prof Spaeth was unable to receive the award in Chiang Mai which was accepted on his behalf by APGS board member, Paul Healey. At the American Academy of Ophthamology Annual Meeting in October 2016, the APGS board presented Prof Spaeth with his award.

APGS YOUNG INVESTIGATOR AWARD

This APGS Award recognises young clinician scientists from the Asia-Pacific region who have distinguished contributions to glaucoma research.
