Jemaima is the Head of Department of Ophthalmology, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) Medical Centre. She is also a consultant ophthalmologist with glaucoma interest. Jemaima’s research main interests are health-related quality of life and imaging technologies in glaucoma. She has served on many national ophthalmology committees and involved in many national ophthalmology conferences.
Jemaima graduated from the UKM and served the MOH for 3 years. She later joined UKM as a trainee lecturer and obtained her MSurg (Ophthal) from the same university. She pursued her PhD in University of Aberdeen, while practising as a glaucoma fellow in the Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
