Dr. Edgar U. Leuenberger is presently the Director of the Glaucoma Fellowship Program and Co-Director of the Glaucoma Service of the Asian Eye Institute, in Makati City, Philippines. He is Assistant Professor in Ophthalmology and is Chief of the Glaucoma Service at the University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center (UERMMMC). He received his medical degree and completed his residency from the UERMMMC. This was followed by a fellowship in adult and pediatric glaucoma at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary , Harvard Medical School. His main research interests are improvement and development of glaucoma diagnostic and surgical procedures and is a reviewer of several journals in Ophthalmology. He has published journal articles , book chapters, teaching materials , and lectures nationally and internationally. He is also president of the Ophthalmologic Foundation of the Philippines.
